These animals are meant to be in the wild most of them and its so cruel to have them in small enclosures and as the article says its all about money, these people do not love the animals if they did they would still be in the wild

Animals, being sentient beings, should not be kept in cages. They should be in their own natural habitat, apart from the fact that there aren't suitable places for large animals in Malta.
We have improved the way we care for our animals but are still allowing/have left space for pain and suffering be it in the form of a zoo or wild animals kept on private property. Animals that are also for consumption are treated so badly. We as humans need to be accountable.
We have to be the voice of voiceless, please change the law of the zoo's

Animal abuse & cruelty needs to be dealth with!! Strict laws need to be implemented. I'm tired of seeing animals suffer at the hands of humans.
We are ending up with a lot of exotic pets that people have no idea how to care for them... what happens when foxes get abandoned or worse? Or other exotic animals like pythons, poisonous insects etc?

I hate cruelty to anyone including animals. They were not meant to be kept in cages.
The way animals are kept in unsuitable conditions here is heartbreaking. If you cannot afford proper enclosures with space for the animals to move about and hide if they want or to shelter from the elements you should not be keeping them.
It’s important obviously because animals have no voice in malta and everyone gets to do whatever they want : no rules nothing and these belong in the wild or at least if you have a zoo pls make shure you have space ! Imagine a person living in a cage for a lifetime!

Animals have rights and should be treated with love, care and respect
Zoos are pure torture for any animal, especially in Maltese climate and its size.
