Continuation of the Intercultural Mentoring Program at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg

With your signature you ensure that the program has a chance to continue in the coming year. Perhaps you have already experienced how difficult it can be to find your way around and make connections during a semester abroad or while traveling ?! As a former mentee, I can say from my own experience that the program helps students to find their way around and integrate in the university environment and in Freiburg.

The program is one of the few that supports international students in Freiburg.

Especially due to the fact that international students pay extremely high fees to study in Freiburg as well as invest a considerable amount of time to learn the language, the university should continue this program. After all, it is not fair to charge international students high fees without offering support and help in return.

In addition, the program also offers mentors the added value of building an international network, improving their own intercultural skills and developing language skills. In this way, it also helps to make the cultural diversity at the university and in Freiburg tangible and to promote cross-cultural togetherness.
