Ökumene

Für Deutschland wird eine ökumenische Christenheit mit voller Anerkenntnis aller Kirchen zukunftweisend sein. In Himmerod begann solche Ökumene schon vor Jahrzehnten. Wäre ich diesem Kraftort Hl. Geistes nicht begegnet, wäre ich heute nicht Pfarrerin.Dieser gute Weg der Ökumene wird nur durch eine geistlich lebendige Kloster-Gemeinschaft weitergehen, nicht jedoch durch ein Bildungshaus oder ein Museum. Hochachtung!

Wenn ich nicht so klein wäre, ich würde meine Erfüllung finden als Mönch in Himmerod. Ich hege absolute Hochachtung für das Leben und Wirken in dieser Abtei und es ist für mich äußerst beruhigend zu wissen, dass es solch einen Ort der Kontemplation und Spiritualität gibt. Dieser Ort muß erhalten bleiben weil er wichtig ist für uns Menschen, gerade in der jetzigen Zeit.

Klöster sind Backstuben der Lebensbrote

Schon Jesus sagte ich bin das Brot des Lebens, so kann man wenn man will, in Klöstern sogar geistige Nahrung finden und sogar beim Fasten satt werden. Sogar Gott ruhte am 7. Tag der Woche. Wenn wir in unserer Welt keine Ruhe mehr finden, kann sie noch hinter den Himmeroder Klostermauern gefunden werden !

Motivation

Ich finde es wichtig nach der Motivation der Menschen zu fragen, die Himmerod unterstützen wollen. Die Erfahrung zeigt leider, dass eine nach Macht strebte, andere nach Geld und Einfluss...so darf es nicht weiter gehen.

Ohne den Satz" - insbesondere mit diesem Konvent -", hätte ich unterschrieben. Dieser Konvent kann es, ohne Hilfe anderer engagierter Mönche, nicht schaffen.

Zitat: Dass der jetzige in der aktuellen Form wg. Schrumpfung, Überalterung und anderer Faktoren nicht überlebensfähig ist, steht auf einem anderen Blatt. Das ist ja wohl ein Contra-Argument. Die Mönche stellen sich und ihr "Zusammen"-Leben nicht einmal jetzt in Frage!
