Philippine-listed Belle Corp's revenue for the first half of 2024 was just under 2.73 billion PHP (US$47.6 million), down 5.8% from a year ago.

Reason

Bell is investing in Manila, COD, a casino resort in the Philippine capital. Operated by an affiliate of Melco Resorts & Entertainment Ltd, the complex was developed in partnership with Premium Leisure Corporation, a subsidiary of Bell.

Bell Group earns a portion of the gaming revenue generated in City of Dreams Manila through its affiliates.

In a recent filing with the Philippine Stock Exchange, Bell said City of Dreams Manila's share of gaming revenue in the first six months of 2024 was down 23.9% year-over-year to 943 million.

Bell achieved net income of 882.4 million in the six months to June 30, down 32.6% from a year earlier.

"This decline in revenue numbers is primarily due to lower sales, primarily due to lower sales in the gaming division during the period," the company said.

Premium Leisure voluntarily delisted its shares from the mainboard of the Philippine Stock Exchange beginning July 9. As part of the process, Bell priced its tender offer for all of Premium Leisure's outstanding common shares at a PHP of 0.85 per unit. 슬롯사이트

Premium Leisure reportedly plans to invest at least $300 million in a separate casino resort in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, Philippines.
