Klinsmann's team departed today (Feb. 2) in search of its first Asian Cup title in 64 years.

Raison

The South Korean national soccer team, led by head coach Jürgen Klinsmann, departed for Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), via Incheon International Airport on the afternoon of the 2nd.
Klinsmann convened the domestic players and some overseas players who had taken a break from the national team for indoor training from the 26th of last month. The team then attended the 2023 KFA Awards and departure ceremony at Mayfield Hotel in Seoul on the 2nd.
Klinsmann said: "We're going to Qatar with faith. I'm going to win after 64 years. I hope to see you in six weeks with a good result."
Kim Min-jae (Napoli), who won the Player of the Year award, also said, "I think we will have a good result if we work hard. The goal is to win," he said.
Klinsmann will be complete in Abu Dhabi. The team will arrive in Dubai on Wednesday morning before traveling to Abu Dhabi, where overseas players Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur), Hwang Hee-chan (Wolverhampton) and Oh Hyun-gyu (Celtic) will join the main squad in the morning and train in the afternoon.
Finally, Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain) will join the Abu Dhabi camp on the morning of the fourth day after playing in his club's Trophée des Champions (Super Cup) match.
With a full squad, Klinsmann's men will have their final test on June 6 in a friendly against Iraq. The team will then travel to Qatar for the final match on the 10th.
South Korea has been drawn in Group E alongside Bahrain, Jordan and Malaysia at the Asian Cup. South Korea will face Bahrain 먹튀검증 on Nov. 15, Jordan on Nov. 20, and Malaysia on Nov. 25. The group stage will be followed by the round of 16 tournament.
After winning back-to-back Asian Cup titles in 1956 and 1960, South Korea hasn't won an Asian Cup title in 64 years.
However, with key players such as Son Heung-min, Lee Kang-in, Hwang Hee-chan, and Kim Min-jae in top form ahead of the tournament, they are determined to bring back the trophy this time around.
