As I read all comments in the "Backpacker Forum" there are a lot of young traveller in Australia which attempt to avoid paying there traffic fines in Australia! We taxpayer from Australia have to bear the for law enforcement and the government is doing nothing about it. These people should be traced before they leave Australia and even back in there own country for unpaid fines. A lot of them believe this is not possible. There are many ways to do so: the car-rego gives the name of the offender, in the Visa-application is the home address of them too in overseas counties. A notice board on all airports so Border Protection can collect the money before leaving, the Visa-number to trace where they home overseas.

www.petition against fines avoider from overseas This is more likely a petition to save a lot of Australians tax money of offender from overseas, make Australians Roads safer and get them tourist no chance of getting away with wrong during while in Australia. We have to pay our fines, why they getting away with? So please sign the petition that the Australian government get aware of it and steps in. There a lot of agreement between Australia and Germany but apparently this issue is not covered to the cost of Australian taxpayer!!!!
