Seriously restrict or abolish the police registration requirement. In lieu of the personal disclosures and personal information disseminated when registering with a municipality, the problem arises that much of a person's private data is made publicly available through an "Aushang". The problem with this advertising procedure is that it can make individuals with foreign sounding names a target for both personal and administrative harassments. In general, within the German "Meldeverfahren", it would be good if you did not have to announce information pertaining to each and every "Lebensabschnitt", meaning stage of one's life. The registration offices are really not adhering to data legislation to any, what we feel, appropriate level of non-disclosure in accordance with DSGVO 2018.
Begründung
I and numerous people are actively being targeted as people and our privacy has suffered undue attention, intrusive action and harassment. The moment you move into a community, it should not be a signal and a call card for any kind of public listing. This can easily become noticeable when suddenly persistently have more information about a person than one even has oneself and I cannot even begin to express how ruinous such public exposure can become in a society of already growing transparency and exposure in social media. When people at the vehicle registration already know about a person, before one has had a chance to re-register ones motor vehicle, someone is leaking data to others. I have experienced fining and prosecution in absentia within one calendar week, although it would have been statutory to have been well with the 14 days compulsory registration and in Austria at that time working on a contract assignment. Like who is fooling whom in any of this?
