Aus Sicherheitsgründen war der Abriss seinerzeit unabdingbar.
Allerdings ist der momentane Zustand nicht hinnehmbar. Die Stadt Herzogenrath und die Stadt Würselen als beteidigte Kommunen sollten dringend handeln und die Erneuerung der Brücke vorantreiben.
