The German people will be ashamed of Kassel University if your school surrenders to such external pressure from Japan, forcibly removes the symbol of peace, and prostrates itself servilely to Japan. I believe that the University of Kassel will make the right decision against militarism, imperialism and extreme right. We believe that Kassel University will never take sides with those who enslave the weak.

Everyone should be treated with human respect and be able to act like a human being, anytime, anywhere, in any situation (in any adverse conditions such as war and natural disasters). With the exhibition of the Girl of Peace, we have the opportunity to think about women who have been dehumanized in war situations. If we are serious about why these things happened and how we can prevent this loss of humanity, we can prevent these terrible things from happening in the future.
