Neuer Petitionstext: Für freie Ausübung von Straßenkunst in Dresden!

Dresden soll Kulturstadt bleiben, für alle!

Ab dem 1. August gilt für die Straßenmusik, Straßenmusik und erstmalig auch für die Straßenkunst, Straßenkunst in Dresden eine neue Regulierung. Sie sieht vor, dass KünstlerInnen eine Sondernutzungsgenehmigung beantragen müssen. Die Regelmentierung der Strassenkunst werden Straßenkunst wird seitens der Stadt mit einer dringenden Notwendigkeit auf Grund sich häufender Beschwerden von Geschäftstreibenden begründet. Die Neuregelung beinhaltet unter anderem starke Beschränkungen bezüglich der möglichen Arbeits- und Anmeldungszeiten, sowie strikte und überzogene Platzzuweisungen auf nur wenige Orte in der Innenstadt.

Straßenkunst begeistert nicht nur Passanten, sondern bietet KünstlernInnen und vor allem auch Nachwuchstalenten eine Möglichkeit, Erfahrungen zu sammeln, öffentliche Aufmerksamkeit zu bekommen und Kontakte zu anderen KünstlerInnen zu knüpfen. Diese Kunstformen Kulturschaffenden formen schon seit Jahren das kulturelle Stadtbild Dresdens aktiv mit. Daher fordern wir die Aufhebung dieser Regulierung und eine Kooperation mit der Künstlergemeinde, zur Schaffung einer sinnvollen Gesetzeslage, die eine freie und kostenlose Kultur für alle ermöglicht!

For the free expression of street art in Dresden!

Dresden should continue to be the capital of culture – for everyone!

From the 1st of August there’ll be new regulations in Dresden for busking, and also for the first time for street performances. Part of it is that for example the street artists have to apply for a street performance permit (“Sondernutzungserlaubnis”). Those new regulations of street art are necessary as there are constant complaints about noise disturbances, so the City Council said. The new conditions for street performing also include heavy constrictions relating to the time and the places of the performance. Also the times for the application and the little amount of places where performing is still allowed make it hard for the artists to get going with their art.

Street art not only inspires tourists, it is also a great opportunity for artists and emerging talents to gain experiences, to attract public attention and to socialise with other artists. Those performers are an active part of the cultural picture of Dresden since years. And that’s why we demand an immediate stop of the new regulations and a honest and open discussion on the topic with the artists of Dresden and the City Council, so that together we can create reasonable regulations which will enable Dresden to offer free culture for everyone!
