Petition addressed to: Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community (Bundesministerium des Innern und für Heimat - BMI) and The German Bundestag (Petitionsausschuss)

We call on the German Federal Ministry of the Interior to prohibit the use of SAVAK symbols in public demonstrations. Furthermore, we request an investigation into individuals or groups claiming to establish surveillance networks to 'identify' residents, as this activity mimics the tactics of an outlawed secret police force and threatens the safety of our community.

Reason

Historical Impact: The history of SAVAK is tied to tragic events in Germany, most notably the 1967 killing of (Benno Ohnesorg) during a protest against the Shah. Allowing these symbols back onto German streets is an insult to the victims of torture and a regression for human rights.

The Contradiction: It is a dangerous paradox to protest against executions while carrying the symbols of an organisation that systematically practiced torture and murder. Using these symbols under the guise of 'identifying mercenaries' is a direct threat to the democratic right to protest without fear of surveillance by non state actors.

Thank you so much for your support, Aysun Feyzi , melbourne

SAVAK was an infamous brutal institution which was founded by Shah of Iran to repress, arrest, torture and execute the Iranian people. It's a shame that the new SAVAKis march freely in fascists style on German streets...

The Display of symbols belongs to the human right to free expression. Tyranny is when the offended can censor on a whim. Instead of censorship, have a discussion.

Why people sign

No dictatorship of anykind

I hereby file a complaint for promoting and supporting SAVAK, which are illegal and anti-national security activities under current laws. The individuals in question are reproducing SAVAK's views by publishing content, speeches or propaganda, which aim to promote instability or undermine public order and the division between mercenaries and murderers. These actions are not only contrary to national values, but are also maliciously carried out to promote violence that directly targets the security of society.
