Macau's casino gross gaming revenue (GGR) is estimated to have reached about 7.1 billion MOPs ($884.4 million) in the first 11 days of August, with daily yields of about $645 million, JP Morgan Securities (Asia-Pacific) said in a note on Monday, citing its own checks.

Begründung

"This is a consistent quarter-on-quarter improvement in last week's run rate to 657 million per day, reflecting solid volume demand through the summer holiday season, meaning it is meaningfully above the daily run rate of 590 million to 600 million for June/July," wrote analysts DS Kim, Mupan Shi and Celina Lee.

On a monthly basis, analysts estimated that "volume GGR is around 110% of pre-COVID levels, while VIPs are in the mid-to-late 20% level."

The agency said it was maintaining its August casino GGR forecast for Macau at "about 19 billion to 19.5 billion" or "610 million to 630 million per day".

"If current weekly yields remain in place through the end of the month, they may prove somewhat conservative," the forecast said. 홀짝게임

Macau's casino GGR rose 5.1% month-on-month to less than 18.66 billion in July. Many investment analysts described July's GGR results as "weak" compared to market expectations, as they observed that the daily run date likely slowed later that month.
