To: The German Government, The European Union, The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and Human Rights Organizations
Subject: Halt the Deportation of Ethiopian Asylum Seekers in Germany
We, the undersigned, urge the German government to immediately stop the deportation of Ethiopian citizens and review their asylum cases with consideration of the ongoing humanitarian and political crisis in Ethiopia.
Why This Matters

Human Rights Violations in Ethiopia: Ethiopia faces severe internal conflicts, ethnic violence, and political repression. Deporting individuals back to such conditions puts their lives at risk.
Violation of International Refugee Rights: Germany has a moral and legal responsibility under the 1951 Refugee Convention and the European Convention on Human Rights to protect asylum seekers from deportation to unsafe conditions.
Unfair Asylum Process & Risk of Persecution: Many Ethiopian asylum seekers have not had fair hearings or proper legal representation. Deporting them means sending them back to persecution, imprisonment, or even death.

Our Demands
