Protect Children: Ensure the Safety of Mini Mäuse Daycare During the Demolition of Kurfürstenbad

Petition richtet sich an: The Mayor of Bonn, the Bonn City Council, the City of Bonn Sports and Swimming Facilities Department, and the officials responsible for the demolition and reconstruction of Kurfürstenbad

We call on the City of Bonn, the Youth Welfare Office, and those responsible for the Kurfürstenbad demolition and reconstruction project to ensure the protection of the children, parents, and staff at the Mini Mäuse daycare center.

We demand:

• Continuous monitoring of noise, dust, and vibrations throughout the demolition and construction phases.
• Transparent publication of all measurement results for parents and the public.
• Effective measures to reduce dust, noise, and vibrations.
• Avoidance of particularly disruptive construction activities during the children’s daycare hours.
• An independent assessment of the impact of the construction work on the health, safety, and well-being of the children.
• The full and immediate coverage of costs for any necessary temporary relocation or alternative childcare solutions, as a safe and disruption-free daycare operation cannot be guaranteed during the demolition and construction period. The noise assessment already indicates a significant projected exceedance of permissible limits.
