Currently in Germany, sanitary products (pads and tampons) are taxed 19%. They are taxed as luxury items. They are taxed more than items such as salmon caviar and equal to truffles. women spend in excess of 3000 euros on sanitary products in a lifetime and shouldn't have to pay even more money on top of this. These products are not luxury, but compulsory items and should be taxed as such.

Razones.

Half the population will experience menstruation in their lifetime and a tax on these products is a tax on being a women. No other tax is based solely in a person's sex and it is unfair for this one to still exist in 2017.
