„Kleinfeuerungsanlagen stoßen mittlerweile mehr Staubemissionen aus als der Straßenverkehr“, stellt die Deutsche Umwelthilfe (DUH) fest. 20 Kilotonnen Feinstaub pro Jahr Hierzulande gibt es rund elf Millionen Holzöfen sowie rund 800.000 Heizkessel für feste Brennstoffe. Und es werden immer mehr. Das Umweltbundesamt beziffert den Ausstoß dieser sogenannten Kleinfeuerungsanlagen auf rund 20 Kilotonnen Feinstaub pro Jahr.
