Vergesserungen der Uni

Die Studienrichtungsvertretungen waren auch schon zu meiner zeit ( Vor 1988) ein wichtiger Motor für Verbesserungen an der Uni.

Image der Universität, Braindrain

Argument 4-Teil 2: Das Bild der Universität, das die Studierenden in Österreich und der Welt (man denke etwa Erasmusaufenthalte u. Ä.) verbreiten, wird ein anderes sein, je nachdem, ob man als Student das Gefühl hat, eine unangenehme Nummer zu sein, oder den Eindruck gewinnen kann, die Uni schätzt ihre wichtigsten Klienten: die Studenten. Psychologisch ganz einfach: Für meinen Master oder mein PhD suche ich mir eine Uni aus, die mich mag und mich wie einen Menschen behandelt.

Das Image der Universität Innsbruck

Argument 4-Teil 1: Veranstaltungen, wie sie nur in angemessen großen Räumlichkeiten an der Universität abgehalten werden können (Filmabende mit Diskussionsrunden, Feste mit eben solchen etc.) fördern die Verbundenheit der Studierenden mit der Universität Innsbruck - eine Verbundenheit, die von exorbitanter Bedeutung für das Image dieser Universität ist.

persönlicher Einsatz

Argument 3: Die Räumlichkeiten wurden gerade im vergangenen Sommer von Studienrichtungsvertreterinnen und Freiwilligen gründlichst geputzt und gewartet. Solch ein Einsatz sollte belohnt, nicht bestraft werden.

soziale Netzwerke

Argument 2: Soziale Kontakte, wie sie nur im Rahmen von Veranstaltungen, von StudienrichtungsvertreterInnen organisiert, in solchen Räumlichkeiten genknüpft und gepflegt werden können, schaffen soziale Netzwerke, von denen tausende Studierende sowohl im Studium als auch später im Beruf profitieren.

Studierendenberatung

Argument 1: Eine kompetente Studierendenberatung ist wesentlich für ein Zurechtfinden im Uni-/Bachelor-/Master-etc.-Dschungel. Dafür sind angemessene und angemessen große Räume (sprich: das FStV-Büro) unerlässlich.
