Man darf unser Kleve, Cleef, wie der Niederländer sagt, nicht vom Vater Rhein abtrennen.Unsere Vorfahren und vor allem die Erbauer der ältesten linksrheinischen Schleuse und die vielen Arbeiter die den Spoykanal mit ihren Händen erbauten sind es wert das wir alle unsere Kraft und unser Tun in die Erhaltung der Briener Schleuse stecken.
