Durch die Schließung des Kölner Großmarktes würden viele Arbeitsplätze verloren gehen. Desweiteren würde dies ebenfalls ein schwerer Schlag für die türkische Bevölkerungs so wie ganz Köln sein, da dieser Markt einen Teil der multikulturellen Identität der Stadt ausmacht.
