Nicht „Tempo 50 = gefährlich“, sondern mehrere Ursachen, daher gezielte Maßnahmen. Quellen: Querungssicherheit geht auch bei Tempo 50: Raised medians/Refuge Areas reduzierten Fußgängerunfälle an markierten Querungen um ~46% (FHWA). UDV: Mittelinseln erwiesen sich insgesamt als sicherste Querungsanlagen.
