Graue Energie

Die graue Energie und der CO2-Ausstoß für den Neubau eines Gebäudes verursacht etwa die Hälfte der Emissionen über den gesamten Lebenszyklus und wird mit 10-16 kg C02-Äquivalent pro Jahr angegeben. Für den geplanten Neubau mit etwa 4500m² Wohnfläche ergeben sich damit über 50 Jahre allein einmalige Emissionen von 2.250 bis 3.600 Tonnen CO2. Die Sanierungslösung würde deutlich weniger Emissionen verursachen.

Nicht wollen oder nicht können

Die Akkumulation aller Baumängel ist leider auch die Akkumulation der Inkompetenz. Dass Baumängel vorhanden sind will sicher niemand bestreiten. Doch mir scheint die Wegwerfgesellschaft hat nun auch im Wohnungsbau Einzug gehalten. Die Grundsubstanz des Gebäudes ist zweifelsfrei erhaltenswert und einmal gemachte Fehler muss man sich eben früher oder später stellen, insbesondere am Bau. Das grösste Problem sehe ich allerdings in den Köpfen der Verantwortlichen. Im Grunde konnte man sich nie mit dem etwas-anderen-Bau anfreunden. Dies zeigte sich auch in der bisherigen "Verschlimmbesserung".
