Neue Begründung:

Die Deutsche Radio Philharmonie, im Jahr 2007 durch die Fusion zweier Rundfunkklangkörper entstanden, gilt als kultureller Leuchtturm in der Region Saarland und Rheinland-Pfalz. Sie erfüllt in vorbildlicher Weise durch rege Konzerttätigkeit und zahlreiche Projekte in der Musikvermittlung und Nachwuchsförderung ihren Bildungs- und Kulturauftrag. Durch die Fusion, die eine langfristige Sicherung des Orchesters garantieren sollte, wurde über Jahre hinweg schon ein Drittel der Musikerstellen eingespart. Jetzt steht die Deutsche Radio Philharmonie erneut unter Druck: die Idee der Verkleinerung bis hin zu einem Kammerorchester steht im Raum.

Daher bitten wir Sie, unsere Petition für den Fortbestand der DRP als Sinfonieorchester zu unterschreiben und so den Erhalt der deutschen Orchesterlandschaft als kulturelles Welterbe zu unterstützen.  Vielen Dank!

Against cultural decline: Save the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra!

The German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern may be facing a drastic cutback: there are currently discussions about reducing it to the size of a chamber orchestra for cost reasons. Please support this petition for the DRP to continue as a symphony orchestra!Reason

The German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, formed in 2007 through the merger of two radio orchestras, is considered a cultural beacon in the Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate region. It fulfills its educational and cultural mission in an exemplary manner through its lively concert activities and numerous projects in music education and the promotion of young talent.

The merger, which was intended to secure the orchestra's long-term future, has already resulted in a third of the musicians' positions being cut over the years. Now the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie is under pressure again: there are plans to reduce it to a chamber orchestra.

We therefore ask you to sign our petition for the DRP to continue as a symphony orchestra, thereby supporting the preservation of the German orchestral landscape as a cultural world heritage.
