In December 2016, we had the opportunity to preset our petition to both adressees, the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior and State Secretary Mr. Gerhard Eck, and the Mayor of the City of Munich, Ms. Christine Strobl, as the owner of the regatta venue.
Both parties reassured us that the discussions will continue and that solutions are considered that will enable a thoughtful and reasonable renovation of the venue. The petition will be taken to the Munich City Council towards the end of 2017.
Both meetings took place in a friendly and positive atmosphere, but we nevertheless need to continue our cause for the modernization of the venue. We only reached one milestone on our journey.
