Petition richtet sich an: Hisense

We, the undersigned, request that Hisense add an official, documented, and secure MQTT-based API (or equivalent lightweight publish/subscribe interface) to VIDAA OS. This feature would enable reliable, local-network integration with home automation and flow-based platforms (Home Assistant, OpenHAB, Node-RED, etc.), improving interoperability, accessibility, and user control while preserving privacy.
Specifically we ask for:

1. An official, versioned MQTT API specification published publicly.
2. Local-only operation by default (no cloud relay) with clear opt-in for any remote/cloud features.
3. Reliable state topics for power, input, volume, mute, app launch/close, playback state, and model-specific capabilities (e.g., backlight, HDR mode).
4. Command topics that allow secure-issued control (set power, change input, set volume, send IR-equivalent commands, launch apps).
5. Authentication and authorization options (username/password and token-based access), TLS support,and rate-limiting to prevent abuse.
6. Clear documentation, sample payloads, and open-source client examples for popular automation andflow-based tools (Home Assistant, Node-RED, OpenHAB).
7. A firmware update pathway and changelog for maintaining API stability.

Why this matters:

• Enables local, reliable automation without screen-scraping or fragile reverse-engineering.
• Simplifies integration into Node-RED flows and other automation platforms.
• Reduces reliance on unofficial workarounds that may break with updates.
• Improves accessibility and customization for users with diverse needs.
• Encourages broader ecosystem support for VIDAA devices.

We urge Hisense to engage with the community, publish a timeline for implementation, and provide a public feedback channel for developers and users.
