Text der Petition

The Korea Professional Football Federation announced on the 24th that it has decided to extend the K-League overseas broadcasting rights partnership with Sports Radar, a global sports technology company, until 2027.

Switzerland-based Sports Radar operates branches in 24 countries, including Europe and Singapore, and its main business areas are sports broadcasting rights and data usage rights sales businesses and anti-corruption services.

The Federation and Sports Radar signed a copyright contract for overseas broadcasting rights in the K League in December 2019. The initial contract period was until 2024, and the two companies will continue their partnership until 2027. 토토사이트

The main content of the partnership is that sports radar exclusively holds the K-League's overseas broadcasting rights and data sales rights. Based on the authority delegated by the federation, sports radar will perform tasks such as selling, transmitting, and providing K-League broadcasts to media companies around the world by 2027. The partnership includes various activities of sports radars to increase overseas awareness of the K League and expand their fan base.

In line with the extension of the partnership, Sports Radar also unveiled a new version of the K League's official overseas OTT platform "K League TV" developed jointly with the federation in 2021. The newly released version improved UI and UX to promote viewer convenience. "K League TV" can be seen in countries where there is no media that has the right to broadcast the K League overseas.

Ben Turner, head of Sports Partnership at Sports Radar Asia, said, "The extension of this partnership is a very meaningful opportunity for Sports Radar in that it can promote various projects to develop the K-League together in the global market and maximize the experience of K-League fans. In addition, attempts at advanced technological factors such as the development of new data-based functions in K-League TVs will not only increase K-League awareness among overseas fans and viewers, but will also definitely bring strength to the K-League in the highly competitive digital media market.

Cho Yeon-sang, secretary-general of the Federation, said, "We were able to develop the global capabilities of the K League through partnerships with sports radar, and we are happy to continue the opportunity. Together with the sports radar, we will provide opportunities and experiences to interact with many overseas fans. "I believe that the global awareness of sports radar and sports technology expertise will help the K League grow bigger in the global market and become the most famous professional sports league in Asia," he said.
