Stop The Euthanasia Of The Motru Dogs

We, the undersigned of this petition, ask you to refrain from the planned euthansia of the dogs in the Public Shelter of Motru as there are other ways to solve the stray dog problem.

The killing of the dogs will mean that you will do great damage to the image and reputation of the city and the city council of Motru, not only just within Romania but also throughout Western Europe.

 We herbey make you aware of an article from Pandurul.ro, in the Facebookgroup Protectia Animalelor Gorj.

The responsible Administrator Executive wants to start with euthanasia and the Mayor of Motru wanted to deny his request but was forced to sign the request. The citizens of Gorj appluded the Mayor for his wise decision while they cursed the responsible Adminstrator Executive.

Today we read a statement of Mr. Dan Matei (in the same Facebookgroup), denying that he is the driving force behind the killing ordinance.

As both parties do not want the euthansia of the dogs, we ask them to suspend the killings.

We draw your attention to the fact that the Romanian animal protection association Pro Animals Romania is already helping in the Public Shelter of Motru as they do in all Public Shelter of district Gorj.

Pro Animals Romania sends a volunteer twice a week to feed the dogs in the Public Shelter of Motru.

Pro Animals Romania does already adopt dogs from the Public Shelter of Motru.

Pro Animals Romania organized neutrings campaigns in Motru in the past and will do so in future.

We will try to find more organizations willing to help with adoptions – all we need is time.

The duty of the city council, the mayor and the administrator executive is to stop people abandoning their dogs, educating people to let their pets being neutered to avoid unwanted litters and to invest into neutering campaigns. The city council of Giurgiu is one of the cities showing that investing in to neutering campaigns is the only solution to solve the problem.

Please start being a flagship city instead of a blotch – your reputation and of your city is at stake.

Therefore we ASK you to NOT START THE KILLINGS.

Wir, die Unterzeichner dieser Petition, bitten Sie, von der geplanten Euthanasie der Hunde im öffentlichen Tierheim von Motru abzusehen, da es andere Möglichkeiten gibt, das Straßenhundeproblem zu lösen.

Durch die Tötung der Hunde werden Sie Ihrem eigenen Ansehen und dem Ansehen der Stadt Motru großen Schaden zufügen, nicht nur in Rumänien, sondern in ganz Westeuropa.

Die Bürger von Gorj applaudierten dem Bürgermeister für seine weise Entscheidung, während sie den verantwortlichen Verwaltungsdirektor verfluchten.

Heute lesen wir eine Erklärung von Herrn Dan Matei, dem Verwaltungsdirektor, (in derselben Facebook-Gruppe), in der er bestreitet, dass er die treibende Kraft hinter der Tötungsverordnung ist.

Da beide Parteien die Euthanasie der Hunde nicht wollen, bitten wir Sie, die Tötungen einzustellen.

Wir machen Sie darauf aufmerksam, dass der rumänische Tierschutzverband Pro Animals Romania bereits im öffentlichen Tierheim von Motru hilft, wie auch in allen weiteren öffentlichen Tierheimen des Distrikts Gorj.

Pro Animals Romania schickt zweimal pro Woche einen Freiwilligen, um die Hunde im öffentlichen Tierheim von Motru zu füttern.

Pro Animals Romania adoptiert bereits Hunde aus dem öffentlichen Tierheim von Motru.

Pro Animals Romania hat in der Vergangenheit Kastrationskampagnen in Motru organisiert und wird dies auch in Zukunft tun.

Wir werden versuchen, weitere Organisationen zu finden, die bereit sind, bei Adoptionen zu helfen – alles was wir brauchen ist Zeit.

Die Aufgabe des Stadtrates, des Bürgermeisters und des Verwaltungsdirektors ist es, Menschen davon abzuhalten, ihre Hunde auszusetzen, die Menschen zu erziehen, ihre Haustiere kastrieren zu lassen, um unerwünschte Würfe zu vermeiden, und in Kastrationskampagnen zu investieren. Der Stadtrat von Giurgiu ist eine der Städte, die zeigen, dass Investitionen in Kastrationskampagnen die einzige Lösung sind, um das Problem zu lösen.

Bitte fangen Sie an, ein Vorbild zu sein, statt eines Schandflecks – Ihr Ruf und der Ihrer Stadt stehen auf dem Spiel.
