Contraproduktive Maßnahme

Die Umweltspur führt nicht zu weniger, sondern mehr Umweltbelastung. Stehender Verkehr sorgt im Süden Düsseldorfs für höhere Abgaswerte. Die angestrebten Ziele (Nutzung von Park-and-Ride-Plätzen, Umstieg auf ÖPNV) sind unrealistisch: Die P+R-Plätze befinden sich hinter der Haupt-Stauzone A46, in der auch die Busse steckenbleiben, bevor sie die Umweltspur erreichen. Es handelt sich nicht um Parikularinteressen: Betroffen sind Tausende Pendler und Hunderte Anwohner.

Verkehrsverlagerung auf andere Verkehrsmittel (ÖPNV, Rad, etc.)

Ein wichtiges Ziel der Umweltspuren ist es, dass das Autofahren in Düsseldorf unattraktiver wird. Mehr Stau und dadurch längere Fahrzeiten. Mittelfristig werden so andere Verkehrsmittel akttraktiver und aufgrund der Zeitersparniss intensiver genutzt.

Die Auswirkungen des Projektes „Umweltspur“ werden nach einem Jahr bewertet und abgewogen. Es handelt sich also um einen befristeten Test. Ich halte diesen Test für sinnvoll. Wenn wir die Lebensqualität in der wachsenden Stadt Düsseldorf verbessern wollen, sollten wir das ausprobieren.
