"Früher" konnte und musste jeder selber im dicken Fahrplan-Buch die beste Verbindungen zusammenstellen; In der digitalen Welt bleibt dieses Privileg nun der Bahn und Google vorbehalten.

Kundenfreundlichkeit

Frei verfügbare Rohdaten, ermöglichen ein größeres Angebot an frei verfügbaren Applikationen, die diese dem Kunden der Deutschen Bahn aufbereiten und filtern. Sie ermöglichen also eine größere Kundenfreundlichkeit, die sowohl für den Kunden als auch für die Deutsche Bahn völlig kostenfrei ist.

Allgemeingut

Die Deutsche Bahn gehört immer noch dem Staat, daher sind die Fahrplandaten auch Eigentum des Staates und da es im Interesse der Allgemeinheit liegt diese Daten öffentlich zugänglich zu haben, sollte der Staat auch dafür sorgen sie allen zugänglich zu machen..

Visualisierung

Neue Formen der Visualisierung erfordern nun mal sinnvolle Testdaten. An die kommt man aber erst ran, wenn man auch eine tolle Anwendung zeigen kann. Ein Teufelskreis, den man durch Mut durchbrechen muss.
