Das Teilstück, welches nicht im Bundesverkehrswegeplan angemeldet wurde, würde die entscheidende Entlastung für Gosobrede und Richard-Wagner-Straße bedeuten. Diese beiden Straßen sind für das Aufkommen ausgelegt, das sie zu tragen haben.

Die Mehrheit des Stadtrates ist für den Bau des Teilstücks, welches im Bundesverkehrswegeplan unterschlagen wurde.

Die Nordumgehung wurde bereits zu über 75% gebaut. Eine Umgehung nicht zu vollenden ist nicht sinnvoll, weil es dann keine Umgehung mehr ist.

Lt. LZ vom 01.03.2014 hat die Landesregierung rd. 67 Mio. ? vom Bund für Straßenbaumaßnahmen zur Verfügung gestellte Mittel nicht abgerufen. Daraus hätte man die Umgehung locker finanzieren können. Diese Art von "Planlosigkeit" sollte nicht zulasten Lippes gehen.

Wie die letzte Verkehrszählung der Pro-Umgehung-Parteien ergeben hat, ist die Anzahl der Fahrzeuge seit der erstmaligen Planung der Umgehung sogar zurückgegangen! Die Argumentation PRO Umgehung ist somit hinfällig!
