Falls diese Petition nicht erfolgreich ist und wir wirklich nur noch eine Beglaubigung vom Arbeitgeber bekommen, freue ich mich schon jetzt auf die Stunden mit den Authorities in denen der Kapitaen ihnen erklaert, dass die Deutschen kein Seamans Book mehr noetig haben. Wird bestimmt in interessant in den USA und Brasilien

Wurde schon mal jemand das Problem Flughafen und check-in angesprochen? Normaler Weise wird man "regelmäßig" gefragt das Buch vorzulegen um die Rechtmäßigkeit des Seamans-Ticket zu bestätigen

Es gibt Häfen, in denen Landgang nur mit SFB möglich ist (z. B. Tunis). Bei Flügen mit Seemanns-Ticket wird in Flughäfen das SFB verlangt.

Man muss doch eh schon für die Steuer eine POC-Liste mitnehmen... Da kann man dann ruhig selbigen auch als "Nachweis" zur Seefahrtszeit nehmen... Geteilter Meinung bin ich trotzdem.

Übersichtlichkeit und Durchsichtigkeit gibt es heutzutage eh schon viel zu wenig. Ein Ordner mit abgehefteten Zetteln versus ordentlich geführtes Buch? Ich denke keiner wird sich gegen das Buch entscheiden. Egal welches Amt, welche Institution oder Person. Und auch aus Sicht des Seemanns: Ein Buch steckt man in die Tasche. Fertig. Zettel verknicken, verschwinden, sehen unordentlich aus und nehmen samt Ordner wesentlich mehr Platz weg!!

Bitte zu dem Thema mal die ILO Konvention lesen. Wir sind mit der Karte international nur Vorreiter. Gute Sache.

Das Deutsche SFB ist ein Anachronismus. Das An- und Abmustern im Seemannsamt gibt es, glaube ich, nur noch unter deutscher Flagge, international mustert der Kapitän. Das Deutsche SFB ist einsprachig Deutsch - und das in unserem globalen Job. Alle anderen SFB sind zumindest zweisprachig, national und Englisch oder komplett Englisch. Ein überarbeitetes, international angepasstes SFB wäre sinnvoll.

warum nicht?

Ich denke, dass die Zeiten VOR Abschaffung des Buches mit genau diesem belegt werden können. Damit fällt eine ganze Reihe der Pro-Argumentation weg.
