Die Debatte um die Zukunft der Informationswissenschaft wird bereits seit Jahrzehnten geführt. Der kontinuierliche Rückgang der Studierendenzahlen ist eine Abstimmung mit den Füßen durch die junge Generation. Während die Data Sciences, u.a. durch ML/KI boomen, schrumpfte die Informationswissenschaft in die Bedeutungslosigkeit. Vielleicht wird es Zeit sie gehen zu lassen.
