Selten etwas Menschenverachtenderes gelesen. Durch den Anstieg des Meeresspiegels werden die ersten Inselstaaten in wenigen Jahren von der Weltkarte verschwunden sein. Wo bitteschön sollen die Bewohner der Fidschi-Inseln, der Salomonen, der Malediven und der Bahamas denn hin? Sollen wir sie etwa ertrinken lassen? Für die meisten von ihnen ist Migration die einzige Möglichkeit der Anpassung.

Die Argumentation für diese Petition ist so dumm und plump, dass man fast vergisst wie menschenverachtend sie eigentlich ist. Da die Initiatoren den Klimawandel als durch den Menschen gemacht - wie es scheint - begreifen, dann werden sie sicherlich verstehen, dass Industrienationen einen wesentlich höheren Anteil an diesem haben und demgemäß iihrer erhöhten Verantwortung gerecht werden müssen: Auch Deutschland.
