Durch den Bau von Windkraftanlagen werden zusammenhängende Landschaftsgebiete immer kleiner. Um die Windkraftanlagen verändert sich das Mikroklima. Es kommt zu Hotspots und Verödung des Bodens. Das führt zu Artensterben und Klimaerwärmung. Außerdem Zerstört es Brutgebiete und Lebesräume allgemein.
