Die Stadt muss für alle attraktiv sein. Für Anwohner, Gewerbetreibende, Besucher aus dem Umland und die Touristen. Bis auf die Anwohner und Touristen, kann nicht auf die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel zugegriffen werden. Und auch Teile der Anwohner benötigen für einige Destinationen ein Auto. Deswegen kein Parkplatz weniger!

legales Parken wird verhindert. Kassiert eird trotzdem.

Wenn ich nach Rostock fahre, nehme ich Sachen mit, als ich mit der Bahn transportieren kann. Ich finde Abends weder in Reutershagen noch in der KTV einen legalen Parkplatz. Das war schon vor 5 Jahren so, als ich noch in Rostock wohnte. Es war für mich einer der Gründe Rostock zu verlassen. Wenn man außerhalb Rostocks arbeitet, kann man nachmittags keinen Parkplatz finden. Man sucht 20 Minuten und parkt oft weit von der Wohnung entfernt. Man schleppt Einkäufe. Das Suchen verursacht viel Abgas.

Weil es viele andere Möglichkeiten als PKW-Individualverkehr gibt. Und gegen Sonderparkplätze für Pflegekräfte und Zulieferer spricht ja nichts. Aber warum sollte es für Privatbesitz (eigenes KFZ) einen Anspruch auf Stellflächen im öffentlichen Raum geben.

Autofreie Innenstadt

Autofreie Stadt! Wir müssen dort Parkplätze schaffen, wo Autos im Stau stehen und die Stadt vom Auto endlich befreien. Rostock ist klein genug, um mit ÖPNV und Rad zu fahren. Dafür die Stadt mit kreativen und grünen Zonen beleben! Keine Lösungen von gestern für Probleme, die wir durch falsche Politik geschaffen haben!

Platzverschwendung

Wer in Rostock wohnt sieht doch, dass die Straßen bereits mit Autos zugepflastert sind. Das zeigt, dass bereits zu viel geparkt wird. Jeder Parkplatz ist ein Stück öffentliche Fläche die durch Privateigentum blockiert ist und raubt der Allgemeinheit wertvolle Quadratmeter. Bessere Nutzungsmöglichkeiten sind zum Beispiel mit mehr Banken, Tischtennisplatten oder Kinderspielplätzen. Rostock hat viele Alternativen zum Auto: die Straßenbahn, Busse, Carsharing und Radwege.

Diese Petition ist eindeutig eine populistische. Sie gehört abgewählt. Gründe dafür: 1. Rostock hat ein vorbildliches ÖPNV-Netz, man kommt auch ohne PKW in 15 - 20 Minuten von jedem Ortsteil (bis hin zum Stadtrand) ins Zentrum oder nach Warnemünde. Fortsetzung folgt (Zeichenbegrenzung)

3. Diese Petition nutzt nur wenigen Autofahrern aus dem Umland. Stattdessen sollte petitiert werden für eine bessere Anbindung des Umlands via RVV und bessere/größere P&R-Plätze.

Noch mehr Parkplätze hieße noch mehr Versiegelung. Das ist kontraproduktiv! Zudem möchte ich nicht noch mehr (ist schon jetzt viel zu viel!) Abgase, Feinstaub, Lärm um mich haben. Diese Haltung ist so altbacken. Es gibt auch noch andere Fortbewegungsmittel als das Auto.
