vielfalt

prof. shalem ist nicht nur ein guter dozent, sondern auch maßgeblich am schwerpunkt "islamische kunstgeschichte" beteiligt. ohne ihn ist der erhalt dieses bereichs nicht gesichert. er trägt aber viel zum profil unseres instituts bei, da es deutschlandweit nur wenige spezialisten dafür gibt. studierende, die das in ihre uni- und studienwahl einbezogen haben, würden durch einen weggang von prof. shalem benachteiligt werden. außerdem wäre es ein großer verlust für der vielfalt am institut.

Egoismus

Er wird sorgsam abwägen u. entscheiden. Schließlich gibts gute Gründe zu bleiben, z. B. soz. Sicherungssysteme hier, Rentenansprüche, Frau u.v.m. Wenn LMU-Leitung u. Öffentlichkeit drauf anbeißen, kann das Studi-Votum wichtig werden (schon ca. 100!). Ein Ruf ist ein Druckmittel gegenüber der EHL. Bei Nachverhandlungen wird oft Einiges draufgelegt. Das ist gut fürs IfK u. insb. für ihn. So ein Vorgang kann durchaus ganz im Interesse von Shalem sein. Wenn er egoistisch ist, dann sollte er bleiben!

Internationalität

Abgesehen vielleicht von Balme, gibt es wohl keinen Prof. in der Fak. 09, der so viel internationale Reputation vorzuweisen hat. Das hat man jetzt auch auf dem CIHA wieder eindrucklich gesehen. Er war stehts von diversen Forschern aus der ganzen Welt umgeben. So sieht gelungene global art aus!

Internationalität

"Wer kommt ist willkommen. Wer geht, wird nicht aufgehalten." Da werden in B.A. und M.A.-Studiengängen die internationalen Ausrichtungen propagiert und dann wird ein Prof. zum Am-Stuhl-Kleben aufgefordert. Die ernsthaften Studenten können ihm doch nach Columbia nachfolgen. Und Diss. wird er sicher auch weiterhin betreuen. Vielleicht sind ja auch die vielen leeren Plätze in seiner Vorlesung ein Hinweis, sich vollere Lehrsäle zu suchen. Oder jammern jetzt die der Vorlesung fern Gebliebenen?

unglaublich

sorry, aber das is ja mal echt peinlich. natürlich wäre der weggang von prof. shalem ein verlust, aber er wird wohl seine gründe haben, die columbia university der LMU vorzuziehen.

Studienqualität

Also, wer der Meinung ist, dass die Studienqualität in diesem Fachbereich der LMU mehr oder minder von diesem einem Professor abhängt, der sollte schleunigst an eine "gescheite" Uni wechseln.
