Das Museum ist einzigartig und eine wertvolle Bereicherung für die sächsische Museumslandschaft. Durch seinen ironischen Umgang mit Museumisierungsprozessen fördert das Lügenmuseum eine kritische Haltung der Besucher gegenüber Museen im Allgemeinen.
