Diese Petition soll aufzeigen, dass Städte und Kommunen verpflichtet sind, die geltende Gesetzgebung, hier namentlich das Tierschutzgesetz, einzuhalten. Was die Stadttaubenthematik angeht, geht dies derzeit nur mit betreuten Taubenhäusern. Sie stehen im Fokus dieses Diskurses.

Politik und Verwaltung sind gefordert

Ehrenamtliche und Vereine, die Taubenhäuser und Pflegestelle betreuen, sollten ohne große Bürokratie von Bund. Land und Kommune öffentliche Zuwendungen erhalten um die Projekte so erfolgreich wie möglich gestalten zu können und größtmögliche Planungssicherheit zu haben. Die Kosten für betreute Taubenhäuser sollten in die städtischen Haushalte aufgenommen werden. Hier sind Politik und Verwaltung gefordert.

Stadttaube - Vogel des Jahres

Die Stadttaube braucht dringend ein besseres Image bei Verwaltung und Politik. Stadttaubenprojekte sollte es in jeder Stadt geben. Die tierschutzwidrigen Taubenfütterungsverbote machen es den Tieren unmöglich ein artgerechtes Leben zu führen.
