Angefangen bei der "Produktion", über den Transport, die Lagerung bis hin zum Verkauf werden die Tiere möglichst "wirtschaftlich" also billig behandelt und misshandelt. Es gibt etliche Alternativen.

Die Tierheime in jedem Landkreis Deutschlands quellen über. Manche Tiere warten dort Jahre auf eine Familie. Der Verkauf billiger Tiere durch Zoohandlungen verhindert nicht nur dass Tiere adoptiert werden, er verschlimmert die Situation noch.
