Petición dirigida a: Freeride World Tour
The FWT Challenger Series is the final step to the Freeride World Tour. Around 60 athletes will compete in four destinations in Italy, Slovakia, France and Austria. To compete in all four destinations athletes need to travel 3600km.
By simply adjusting the order of the events the travel distance and CO2 emissions can be reduced by 50%! We demand an adjustment of the order of the events to dramatically reduce CO2 emissions.
The Freeride community is highly affected by climate change. We as a community have to be at the forefront of emission reduction. By simply measures like the adjustment of a competitive calendar, we can make a big change.
The order needs to be adjusted to:
EAST to WEST (Slovakia, Austria, France, Italy)
WEST to EAST (France, Italy, Austria, Slovakia)
Altitude of destinations (drop-in):
Slovakia: 2000m
Austria: 2300m
Italy: 2300-2700m
France: 2300-2400m
