Germany needs more co-determination at federal level by the population. In order to show politicians that we can't do it without us, we support the ABSTIMMUNG21 project: self-organized referendums on burning issues of our time. The next nationwide referendum will take place in September.

Stop fox hunting! This hobby creates suffering and does not protect species.

Foxes can be hunted all year round in Germany. For some, this is cruelty to animals, for others, it is an important part of species protection. Should this predator be better protected?

More restrictive use of preventive antibiotics in animal husbandry

The use of (preventive) antibiotics in animal husbandry is very controversial. Farmers are not allowed to give their animals antibiotics without good reason, but if one or more animals are sick, all of the animals on the farm are often given the medication. This can lead to the formation of multi-resistant germs.

Limit lobbying – make the lobby register what it should be!

All people, organizations and companies that want to exert political influence on the Bundestag must register in the lobby register. However, the database does not record, for example, who meets with which members of parliament. Should the register provide more comprehensive information on lobby contacts?

Be informed before voting! So that everyone is equally informed and can form their own opinion, neutral voting booklets with pros and cons are drawn up and made available to everyone. The voting booklet is an integral part of the vote.

Before voting takes place, there will be a debate! House parliaments are private discussion groups that debate a political issue. With the house parliaments, we want to enable civil society engagement where opinions arise: at home while eating together with the family, talking to friends and acquaintances in a café, at the regulars' table or in the park. With the house parliaments, we would like to make the exchange of opinions and discussions an integral part of referendums.

Nationwide vote

We are convinced that Germany needs more participation by its citizens. That is why we have been organizing nationwide referendums on burning issues of the day ourselves since 2021 - until votes at the federal level are enshrined in law. The campaign is now entering its third round: the voting documents will be sent out in August, the election will take place in September and the results will be announced in October. With every vote, we grow - join in too!
