Vor dem Abriss wäre ggf. ein Umbau durch externe Spender und Übernahme durch eine Stiftung/ EV etc. möglich und so könnte dies das Budget der Diözese entlasten und weiterhin Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten sicherstellen.

Im Gegenargument: „Wo ist das Problem ? Für was die Petition ? Um 900.000 € pro Jahr zu verbrennen ? Für ein unnützes Gästehaus und deren eventuelle Frohlocker*innen ?“ Wie viel ist eine Person Wert, die zu Jesus findet? Wie viel sind ca 10 000 Menschen Wert, die enorme Stärkung und Liebe an diesem Ort erfahren dürfen? Wenn das heißt 900.000 „verbrannt“ sind und dann unnütz ist… dann fehlen wirklich die Worte….

Viele kirchendistanzierte Menschen haben auf Maria Rosenberg zum Glauben gefunden. Meistens auf Wochenenden oder mehrtägigen Veranstaltungen. Dies wird erheblich weniger werden wenn der Übernachtungsbetrieb eingestellt wird.

Solidarität

Eine Sanierung von Haus A und B würde viele weitere Millionen Euro kosten. Dazu kommen die immensen jährlichen Kosten, da der Übernachtungsbetrieb nicht ausgelastet ist. All diese Kosten müssen an anderen Stellen im Bistum eingespart werden. Das würde zu Lasten der Pfarreien gehen, die ohnehin schon finanzielle Probleme haben. Die Ersteller der Petition haben nicht im Blick, dass schon die aktuelle Lösung und Sanierung solidarisch von allen getragen und de Faktor mitfinanziert wird.

900.000 € Kosten pro Jahr

Der "Rheinpfalz" Artikel benennt Kosten von 900.000 € pro Jahr: für den defizitären Gästehausbetrieb auf dem Rosenberg. Wer das bewusst übersieht ist unchristlich. Wo kommt das Geld her ? Von Speyer ? Wo fehlen dann die 900.000 € ? Das Heiligtum und das Pfarrhaus bleiben erhalten. Wo ist das Problem ? Für was die Petition ? Um 900.000 € pro Jahr zu verbrennen ? Für ein unnützes Gästehaus und deren eventuelle Frohlocker*innen ?
