Wer einen Wald für Bauland rodet, Tier- und Pflanzenwelt zerstört, denkt nicht an unsere Kinder und Enkelkinder, sondern nur an seinen eigenen Nutzen. Wälder sind Sauerstoffspender und benötigen Jahrzente um zu wachsen. Und ja, ich könnte mir nicht vorstellen Wald für die Bebauung mit einem Eigenheim zu roden.

Die Stadt Meiningen sollte für junge Familien attraktiv gemacht werden. Mit dieser Petition wird der Zuzug neuer Mitbürger erschwert bzw. ihnen das Gefühl gegeben, nicht willkommen zu sein. Unterzeichner der Petition, die selbst in einem Eigenheim wohnen, sollten anderen dieses Privileg vielleicht auch gönnen. Für die Abholzung erfolgt an anderer Stelle eine Aufforstung. Jeder Eigenheimbewohner sollte sich fragen, ob er selbst auf sein Haus zugunsten des Waldes verzichtet hätte.
