Alemannisch was around at the time of the Romans. The Romans spoke latin but no one speaks Latan today as a lingua Franca today but Alemannen speak it even now. So why should it not be here today and in future too.

Die Muettersproch-Gsellschaft stellt fest: Unser Sproch isch en Kulturgut, wo erhalte werde sott. (Muettersproch-Gsellschaft - Mehr Alemannisch ins Radio!) und fordert daher feste Sendezeiten für Radiosendungen in alemannischer bzw. schweizerdeutscher Sprache mittels einer Online-Petition. Wobei sich die Frage stellt, ob eine Sprache mit deutlich eingeschränktem Wortschatz, ohne Futur und Präteritum sowie fehlendem grammatikalischem Reglement nicht nur Kultur, sondern auch tatsächlich ein Gut darstellt.
