Zukunftsorientierte Stadt mit viel Potential für Neues

Jeder verbindet die Stadt Wuppertal mit der Schwebebahn. Genauso wie jeder Paris mit dem Eifelturm, Belgien mit dem Atomium, New York mit der Freiheitsstatue verbindet. Aber wer verbindet Wuppertal mit der Universität mit den neuen Technologien und Innovationen, Kunst und Kultur die in Wuppertal entwickelt wurden und werden. Wuppertal wurde und wird gerade von den Frauen und Männern, Kindern und Jugendlichen, Jungen und Alten neu erdacht und umgesetzt.

Unnötig

Woran denkt man bei Wuppertal? An die WUPPERTALER Schwebebahn. Das ist ein stehender Begriff, denn kennt jede*r - und zu meiner Zeit kannte das jedes Kind. Also, wer weiter weg von Wuppertal wohnt, nimmt die Stadt eher als ein Anhängsel der Schwebebahn wahr, um es mal pointiert auszudrücken. Und was ist sonst noch bekannt? Ja, über den Radweg auf der Nordbahn-Trasse habe ich mal in einer verkehrspolitischen Fachzeitschrift gelesen - aber das war's dann auch.
