Excessive regulation for bars, cafes and restaurants is leading to a dramatic reduction in cultural events.
We demand that there be no further restrictions in this sector and a loosening of the regulations for organising events.
Regensburg's gastronomy and bar scene relies on its live performers. Now, the city regulators (Ordnungsamt) have decided to further restrict our freedom to put on events of this sort.
Many bars' unique characters come from their live acts like DJs. The city regulators' restriction requires every such live act to be individually registered. This in itself will drastically reduce the number of such events. We citizens of Regensburg want to fight to keep our bar culture.
