1 vollen Rentenpunkt bekommt man für das offizielle Brutto-Durchschnittsgehalt, fast 50.500 € für 2025. Das Rechnen mit dem Durchschnitts-Gehalt ist unrealistisch. Statistisch gesehen müsste der Median aller Gehälter, also das häufigste Gehalt, was verdient wird, einen ganzen Rentenpunkt ergeben. Es ist ungerecht, dass nur Besserverdienende einen vollen Rentenpunkt bis max. 2 Rentenpunkte jährlich sammeln.
