E85 hat ca 105 Oktan und sorgt durch seine große Verdampfungs-Enthalpie für eine wesentlich klopffestere Verbrennung. Damit kann man den Motor wesentlich besser tunen! Gerade für Turbomotoren ein Must-Have!

Auch EU unterschätzt Methan-Emissionen Bei der Förderung von Erdöl wird "deutlich mehr" Methan freigesetzt als bislang gedacht. Wie eine am heutigen Sonntag vorgestellte Studie zeigt, sind die tatsächlichen Emissionen des aggressiven Klimagases fast siebenmal so hoch wie von der Europäischen Kommission angenommen. Die Treibhausgasbilanz fossiler Kraftstoffe werde deshalb von der EU um 15 Prozent zu niedrig angesetzt, heißt es in der 25-seitigen Untersuchung, die der Verband der Deutschen Biokraftstoffindustrie in Auftrag gegeben hat.

Tatsächlich ist die effektive CO2 Bilanz einer für Agrarsprit verwendeten Agrarfläche durch Freisetzung des im Boden gebundenen CO2 durch Bodenumnutzung, inklusive des Bearbeitungsaufwandes und Düngung eine negative. Wird Wald dafür gerodet, so muss der Acker alleine für die Freisetzung der CO2 Äquivalente(CO2, CH4, N2O) aus dem Boden über Jahrzehnte lang LuftCO2 im Boden binden. Die Synthetisiertung von Stickstoffdüngern ist so Energieaufwendig, dass ein Großteil der von dem Agrarspritacker gewonnenen Energie herfür verwendet wird. -->Agrarsprit nur auf Brachflächen!
