Um die von den den Windkraftanlagen zur Verfügung gestellten Leistung ( meist unter 30 % der installierten Leistung) zu verfolgen, bietet sich electricity Maps an. Es ist erschreckend, wie wenig Strom zur Verwertung kommt. Es fehlt an Speichern und am Verteilnetz. Erst wenn nichts mehr abgeregelt werden muss, sollte über neue Anlagen nachgedacht werden.

Aktuell werden i. d. R. unter 30% der installierten Leistung der Windkraftanlagen genutzt. Vor einem weiteren Ausbau muss die bereits installierte Leistung durch Einsatz von Speichertechnologie und optimierter Verteilung besser genutzt werden. Erst wenn die vorhandenen Kapazitäten optimal genutzt werden, kann über einen weiteren Ausbau nachgedacht werden.
