Busse ja, Autos nein.

Eine Stadt ist lebenswert, da wo auch Leben ist. Der motorisierte Individualverkehr allerdings vertreibt das Leben. Busse und Bahnen (in Hamburg ja leider nicht ...) dagegen beleben eine Straße. Daher: Busse ja, Autos nein.

Anliegende Straßen

An dieser Stelle möchte ich auch auf die Notwendigkeit eines, um die Osterstraße herum, notwendiges Konzept für alle Bewohner_innen der umliegenden Straßen (Lappenbergsallee, Sillemstr., Stellinger Weg usw.) hinweisen. Es ist ja nicht damit getan, die Osterstr. autofrei zu machen, aber alle umliegenden Straßen zu Entlastungsstraßen zu degradieren. Hier könnten Lösungen wie "ausschließlich Anliegerverkehr" u.ä. helfen. Nur, es muss der Wille dafür vorhanden sein!

Mietenniveu, Wohnqualität, Wertsteigerung

Wenn dadurch die Wohnqualität steigt, dann steigen auch die Mieten und Wohneigentum wird noch wertvoller. Für "Besitzende" also optimal.

Umwelt, Lärm, Abgase

Die Maßnahme führt zwar zur Lärm- und Abgasentlastung an der Osterstraße selbst, allerdings wird der Kraftverkehr alle umliegenden Straßen deutlich stärker belasten. Insgesamt ist es fraglich, ob sich eine Verbesserung der Lebensqualität im Viertel durch eine solche Maßnahme einstellt.

Parkplatzsituation

Verschärfung der ohnehin prekären Parkplatzsituation im Bereich Osterstraße. Diese Maßnahme trifft Gäste und Anwohner. Menschen die in der Osterstraße einkaufen wollen, reisen oft auch mit dem PKW an. Die Gäste werden nur teilweise auf Bus und Bahn umsteigen und ansonsten wegbleiben und als Kundschaft für Geschäfte ausfallen.
