The Villa Heimann was the home of my paternal grandparents and my father before they were chased from it by the Nazis. I never knew my father's parents because they were murdered by the Nazis. To destroy the home without preserving at least the exterior would be another indignity to them and their survivors. It would also destroy a major piece of Borghorst's history thereby depriving future generations the knowledge of the tragedy that it was witness to in the 1930s and 1940s.
